We totally love that you're here on Schipul.com, even more so that you actually cared to check out our "Terms of Use" page.  Like, does anyone even read these?  Am I talking to myself? 

Well, regardless, if you're here already we encourage you to read all about the exciting world of proprietary rights, user responsiblity, trademarks and copyrights ...YAWN.. and um... all the other legal stuff.

Licence: 

We may provide you with Software on the basis of a non-exclusive personal licence for your use only. Unless otherwise provided in a separate agreement specific to a particular Software, your use of the Software will be governed by this Agreement. The Software is NOT sold to you. We grant to you the non-exclusive right to use all or a portion of this Software so long as the Software is not distributed or made available to any third party whether for profit or otherwise; the Software is used only for the intended purpose of your use of the Services; the Software is not modified; and you comply with all the terms and conditions of this Agreement. (Basically, we own the software and lease it to you because we think you're neat, so don't pass it out like Halloween candy - that's bad).

Intellectual Property Rights: 

We and/or our licensors own the Software and all intellectual property rights associated with the Software. You must not remove the copyright, ownership or other proprietary notices from any part of the Software. (Again, we own the software so please do not remove evidence of that.  Man, I'm still thinking about Halloween candy. Mmmmm).

No Merger or Integration: 

You may not merge any portion of the Software into, or integrate any portion of the Software with, any other program without our prior written consent. Where so permitted, any portion of the Software merged into or integrated with another program, if any, will continue to be subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement. You must also reproduce on the merged or integrated portion all copyright, ownership and other proprietary rights notices included in the original copy of the Software.  (If a train leaves Chicago going 50 miles per hour and one leaves New York at 67 miles per hour... wait.  That's for soemthing else.  Oh. Ok.  Basically this paragraph says that our software is shy.  So shy, that it does not want to "get with" any other software.  Dig it?).

Transfer of Licence: 

You may not transfer your license of the Software to a third party. Therefore, you may not assign, lend, sell, lease, rent or sub-licence the Software to anyone. (Since we own the software and have a contract with YOU, not your friend Bill or that guy you owe a favor to, it would be in pretty bad form, and also illegal, to transfer your use of the software to someone else or "assign, lend, lease, rent or sub-licence" it to anyone).

Limitations on Using, Copying and Modifying the Software: 

Except to the extent specifically permitted by this Agreement, you may not use, copy or modify the Software. You may use the Software for your personal use only as permitted by this Agreement. (Don't mess with the software.  Use it only as intended in agreement and we'll be cool).

Decompiling, Disassembling, or Reverse Engineering:

You acknowledge that the Software contains our or our licensors' trade secrets, intellectual property rights and other proprietary rights. You must not decompile, disassemble or otherwise reverse engineer any part of the Software, or engage in any other activities to obtain underlying information in or about the Software that is not visible to the user in connection with normal use of the Software. (If you know what "Reverse Engineering" is, then I'm talking to you, buddy.  Just don't do it.  Do you know how much Red Bull and coffee the guys had to buy to engineer this stuff?  Respect the caffeine and the software please.  Thanks).

Use of Site; Restrictions:

If you are dissatisfied with the Services or with the Content, products or services available on or through the Services or with any of these Terms & Conditions, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue accessing and using the Services or de-register the Services. At any time, we may terminate the Services without assigning any reason upon giving at least 30 days' written notice to you.  (You don't like? hmmm.  Then it's up to you to stop services.  Would you keep eating a hamberger that didn't taste good?  No, right?  But you'd probably talk to the chef before tossing it.  So, not happy? Talk to us and we'll come to a resolution).
