Schipul – The Web Marketing Company to Guide Social Media Strategies to Promote Beau Rivage Resort & Casino’s Spring Break Poker Classic
Social media strategies in support of the Spring Break Poker Classic will include blogging, Twitter updates, an online video channel on YouTube, sharing photos on Flickr and connecting via a Facebook group. The Spring Break Poker Classic is one of five major poker events MGM MIRAGE hosts at its Mississippi resorts each year and the first in the series at Beau Rivage.
“As Beau Rivage ramps up its e-marketing and social media efforts, the Schipul team was the clear choice for the Spring Break Poker Classic initiative,” said Brian J. Bork, Vice President of Marketing for MGM MIRAGE’s Mississippi Operations, which includes Beau Rivage in Biloxi and the Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica. “Poker players are constantly online honing their playing strategies and our partnership with Schipul is helping us use social media tools to connect with players where they live, work and play.”
The fun and excitement begins with The Wild Poker Showdown Photo Contest on Flickr, a photo sharing Web site. Contestants 18 years and older are being encouraged to upload photos of their wildest poker night experience – whether at a casino, at home or online. Entries can be uploaded to http://www.flickr.com/groups/beaupoker/. The winner will be treated to two nights at the Beau Rivage during the Spring Break Poker Classic.
With the guidance of Schipul’s social media experts, Beau Rivage has launched a Spring Break Poker Classic blog (http://www.beaupoker.com/), will keep the poker enthusiasts on Twitter updated (http://twitter.com/beaupoker), is featuring videos about poker and Beau Rivage on its YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/BeauRivagePoker), and will encourage poker players to network and swap strategies via the Spring Break Poker Classic Facebook group (http://apps.facebook.com/webaddress/companies/beaupoker).
